Assurance for quality is the basic requirement, which every consumer will be demanding for, before buying any merchandise and it is a foundation for business growth. Over a period, norms have been evolved to ensure quality through systems and procedures adopted by the organization in production, rather than relying on outcome of the samples tested. Thrust on certification issued by the international certifying bodies like International Standard Organisation, like ISO 9000 is given more importance by both national and international business community, to ensure their commitment for quality.

Realising its importance and impact to the garment and textiles industry after with drawal of Multi Fiber Agreement (MFA), experts in ACDS took efforts well in advance to promote the Quality Certification System way back in the year 1999 to build the capacity of the exporters at Tirupur, by sensitizing them the impact and by promoting BDS for implementation. Because of such efforts, Tirupur now boasts highest number of ISO 9000 certified firms in the country. ACDS has got enough hands on experience in promoting such initiatives and in identifying right BDS for effective implementation.
